This beautiful 1 Oz pure Silver Coin in the third issue in the "Precious Stones" series and commemorates the Mexican Libertad. The coin is made even more valuable because it is entirely covered with Emerald Dust and 24k Gold Plated. Emerald is the green to bluish green variety of beryl, a mineral species that also includes aquamarine as well as beryls in other colors. Highly valued as gemstones, emeralds are a grass-green variety of beryl. The capacity of emeralds to deflect light and to break white light into its component colors is not high, so cut stones display little brilliancy or fire (flashes of color). The color that gives this gem its value comes from the presence of small amounts of chromium. The Coin is sold in a themed case with Certificate of Authenticity.
